Janie Stubblefield, MA, LPC-S

Janie is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor in Texas, a Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Licensed Child Care Administrator. She has professionally served individuals, families, youth, and children for more than a decade through private practice counseling and local community service programs. Using cognitive therapy techniques and psychoeducation as the backbone for treatment planning, Janie can help you develop a clear plan for improving your most important life relationships.

EDUCATION

Michelle Shannon a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern (#71861) licensed by the state of Texas to practice under the supervision of Dr. Cassie Rushing, LPC-S. She holds a graduate degree in Counseling from Amberton University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Texas at Dallas.

 

PHILOSOPHY

Michelle’s therapeutic approach is integrative with a Cognitive Behavioral foundation woven with Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Family Systems Therapies.

 

She believes whatever happens in life, each person has a choice to make the most of it. Support can be invaluable for gaining healthy insight into your situation, developing coping skills, processing thoughts and feelings, understanding change process, build empowering self-confidence, and utilize problem-solving strategies to create possibilities for making choices that work for you .

 

Michelle considers it a privilege to have an opportunity to meet her clients, hear their unique stories, and work together to explore the differences you would like to see in your life. Together you can develop a plan for positive change. She offers a free 15-minute phone consultation to prospective new clients to help determine if counseling may be a beneficial fit for you.
